Kane achieves his 100th goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has stated that his desire in going back to the Premier League has diminished and he is prepared to explore a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The prolific striker is currently midway through the four-year agreement he agreed to when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.
The experienced forward has accumulated an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German team, contributing them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which marked the maiden major trophy of his notable career.
Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has earlier stated that he would like to see Kane return to England, where he lacks 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring record of 260.
However, the England captain has now indicated that he is no longer as keen about returning home as he previously was, and would seriously contemplate prolonging his time in Bavaria.
"In terms of staying longer, I could certainly see that," he commented.
"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be willing to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so goes and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different options and different periods happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the historic top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the fastest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five leagues, reaching the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a honor had eluded him until he won the German title last season.
Kane admits that he was not sure how he would respond after ending his trophy barren spell, but now believes it has made him motivated for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.
"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
